How do we store your data?

We securely store data with Microsoft Office 365 in the UK cloud.

Contact information is kept indefinitely unless you request removal. Service, billing and communication data is retained for up to 10 years.

You can opt-out of marketing at any time. You have the right to stop us contacting you for marketing or sharing your data with partners.

Information Security Policy

Security is paramount. We operate virtualised infrastructure through third-party providers - we don't own hardware or data centres.

Key Security Measures

Software Updates

We keep software current to prevent exploits. Major updates are tested on internal duplicates before deployment.

Firewalls and Access

Software firewalls with updated blacklists protect services. Locked-down firewalls open only necessary ports with intrusion detection.

Scanning

We run penetration tests, anti-virus scans, and application-specific vulnerability scans continuously.

Governance

System access is strictly controlled. Only Axel Segebrecht (director) has administrative access unless specified in SLAs.

Encryption

Passwords use long, complex sequences stored in secured software on encrypted drives. We use LastPass, 1Password, and GPG.

Customer code runs under separate usernames for isolation.

SSL Certificates

All web services use valid SSL certificates, primarily from Let's Encrypt. Default free SSL for all hosted websites.

External Protection

Cloudflare provides additional protection, limiting malicious use before reaching our systems.

Open Source

We base solutions on open-source software for code transparency unless client requirements demand otherwise.

Acceptable Use

Services must comply with UK and EU law. We don't permit illegal activities, adult or gambling services.

Compliance

We use compliant providers: * Scaleway, Amazon AWS, DigitalOcean (infrastructure) * WHMCS (billing) * Stripe (payments)

Backups

Backups are encrypted at rest using secure cyphers.


Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to services provided by be braver Ltd via bebravernow.com.

Services & Term

Services begin on account activation. Initial term continues for the period stated in your order, with automatic renewal unless 30 days notice given.

Payments

Fees are payable in advance monthly. We may suspend service for non-payment. Interest charges apply to overdue amounts (1.5% monthly or maximum legal rate).

Fee increases require 45 days notice before renewal term. All charges are non-refundable unless required by law.

Customer Obligations

You must: * Comply with applicable law and our AUP * Provide accurate information * Be at least 18 years old * Maintain current backups of all content

Warranties & Liability

SERVICES PROVIDED "AS IS" WITH NO WARRANTIES. WE DON'T GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE.

MAXIMUM LIABILITY LIMITED TO THREE MONTHS OF SERVICE FEES. NO LIABILITY FOR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Termination

We may terminate for: * Payment overdue (10 days notice) * AUP violations (30 days to cure, or 1 day for repeated violations) * False customer information (1 day notice)

Service Level Agreement

Managed services clients get 99.98% uptime guarantee (excluding scheduled maintenance, force majeure, etc.). Credit: 10% monthly fee per hour of downtime after notification, up to 100%.
